New Year, New writing, new Me

I wanted to talk to you about my blog. I took a considerable time off and I needed a much rewarding recharge.  As I would sit at the computer for a few more hours on my off time, I never felt I could write something that had any interest.  I would look at the blank blog screen and find nothing good to write about.  I would put my writers block and my self esteem on the same path.  I felt useless and not reaching the audience and in turn feeling like no one wants to hear my dribble and carrying on.  In no way is this an ego and wanting to be heard, but friends wanted to hear more and my mind would tell me that they are just humoring me or giving me a pat on the back to make me feel important and knowing that I'm really not that important.  It was a constant struggle with my mind and my well being in check.  

Depression plays a big part, but most of the time I was depressed that I could not write or share an emotion.  My close musical friend passed away last year and that took a lot of wind out of my sails.  The self esteem I had was at a all time low.  At times I would even drive to work and back with very little emotion I was listening to.  This included the music I heard on the radio, or the music I put on my phone.  I would go to concerts and thought that would give me motivation and even that was not even giving me the energy to write.  

With all this being said.  I'm going to try to write at least two posts a week.  I might amend a few my older posts with additional information about the topic.  I also might be doing other then albums on this blog and focusing on eras, people or even genres.  Almost like what I did for Tropicalia.  In my old music blog I did a post on Roger Dean. I will add more of that.  Also with all the musical deaths we had last year in 2022 I will try to add a tribute to them or at least an album from their musical discography. I also if I can write a brief post on the many music books in my collection.  If I can I will set up a link on Amazon or somewhere you can buy it.  

In conclusion I will be ready to tackle a post that I write with better writing and more expression.  I love music and my passion has to be more in what I write and talk about with you the audience.  I will also post on social media my next album I will be feature.  I may not be perfect (far from it) on what I write, but I will do my best.  A long time ago a reader belittled my post about a genre.  He did not read the first few sentences where I mentioned my lack of knowledge on the genre, but mentioned my quick study made me explore and enjoy the music I was about to be curious about.  Well about to dig in and attack music culture once again and get back on the path to give a bit more of a break from our normal routine.   Hope you still keep reading and makes you either pick up the album I talk about or download it and give it a listen and find out why I like it and with the hope you will as well.
